Are you looking to build your career in procurement and purchasing? We have a great opportunity for a proactive Junior Buyer to join our clients Cardiff based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exposure to purchasing, procurement, stock control, or supplier management who is keen to develop their skills further. You will work alongside experienced Buyers who will provide training, support, and mentorship as you grow your procurement career.
The Role
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues
- Supporting sourcing and procurement activities
- Monitoring stock requirements and replenishment needs
- Assisting with supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
- Maintaining accurate ERP system records and reporting
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
The Person
- Previous exposure to purchasing, procurement, buying, stock control, or supplier facing roles
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Good Excel skills (advantageous)
- A desire to learn and develop within a procurement career
- Interest in working towards CIPS qualifications is welcomed
