CNC Production Swansea £28625 – £30533 Dependent on Experience Temp to Perm position We are looking for an experienced CNC operator to join a busy organisation based in Swansea. The role will initially be a Temporary assignment but has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person. The Role You will work 08:30AM to 04:30PM Monday to Friday (no shift work required). Duties and responsibilities will include: Set and operate Doosan CNC Turning, Milling, Multi-Axis Turning and 3+2 Axis Milling with Fanuc Control using set-up sheets, tooling/ fixtures and programmes provided by the production engineering team. Ensure performance of part production to planned set and run times whilst monitoring performance to ensure quality and production requirements are met Carry out in-cycle parts inspections using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and plug gauges Identify non-conforming parts and report immediately, ensuring root cause is established, documented and passed to team leader. Use your engineering knowledge and experience to actively support other team members e.g. apprentices with on the job learning Assisting the Manufacturing Team in maintaining and improving the 5S organisation of the workshop environment Responsible for ensuring correct materials, route cards and work procedures are used to produce the components Adhere to work procedures and safe working practices. Recognise cosmetic and dimensional non-conformance based on Company specifications and communicate effectively to engineering team You may be required to perform any other reasonable duties from time to time and as directed by management. Undertake allocated CNC equipment inspection, maintenance and cleaning (including fluid check etc) Provide a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving and implementing changes to ensure the business meets its production targets Manage workload effectively and in a timely manner.Requirements The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and qualities: Previous CNC experience essential Experience on a Doosan CNC and Fanuc controls preferred Solid engineering knowledge and experience essential Experienced in using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and plug gauges Good attention to detail A team player Excellent problem solving skillsIn Return Offering an excellent rate of pay for solid experience in this area. Although the role will initially be temporary there is a possibility for the position to become permanent for the right applicant.
