Junior Buyer/ Buyer Assistant in Cardiff

Junior Buyer/ Assistant Buyer Cardiff To £28k depending on experience Are you looking to take the next step in your career within procurement and purchasing? Our client is looking for a motivated and organised Junior Buyer to join their Cardiff based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some experience in purchasing, procurement, stock management or working with suppliers who is keen to broaden their knowledge and progress within the profession. Working closely with experienced Buyers, you will receive ongoing guidance and support while gaining valuable hands on experience across a range of procurement activities. The Role * Create, process and monitor purchase orders * Communicate with suppliers to track deliveries and resolve any issues * Support day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities * Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment planning * Support supplier discussions, negotiations and cost-reduction projects * Keep purchasing and supplier information up to date within the ERP system * Produce reports and maintain accurate procurement records * Develop effective working relationships with suppliers and internal teams About You * Some previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, stock control or a supplier facing environment * Excellent communication and organisational abilities * Strong attention to detail with good commercial awareness * Comfortable managing competing tasks and working with a degree of autonomy * Good working knowledge of Excel would be beneficial * Enthusiastic about developing a long-term career in procurement * An interest in studying towards CIPS qualifications would be advantageous In Return This role provides the opportunity to build practical procurement experience within an established and supportive team.
