The Role
In this full time permanent position you will work on site at the company's premises in Bridgend performing repairs down to component level to a wide range of industrial electronic equipment. Hours of work are very favourable: Monday - Thursday 08:00AM - 04:30PM and Friday 08:00AM - 01:00PM. This role will suit an experienced Electronics Engineer able to work at component level.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
- Working on PLCs, PCBs, HMIs, Drives and power supplies
- Ensure allocated jobs are diagnosed and repaired in an efficient and cost effective manner
- Identify material requirements and liaise with purchasing department to source parts
- Produce engineering reports on work completed
- Ensure company ERP system is kept up to date and information recorded against each job worked upon
- Ensure all work is carried out in a professional manner and in line with company policies and procedures
- Ensure quality levels are maintained and that warranty levels are within agreed targets
- Participate in training and development activities to ensure own continuing professional development
- Carry out self-study to ensure own knowledge remains current as appropriate
- Continuously reflect on own performance and constantly strive to do better
- Work to introduce changes to processes and procedures which will enable the company to improve its efficiency and profitability
- Ensure that technical knowledge and awareness of industry developments enable the Company to achieve its targets, through provision of support for other members of the management team, wherever they are based
- To assume any other tasks and duties required by the business, commensurate with level of role
- To model Company expectations through own behaviour and in all verbal and written communications
- To contribute to the overall development of the Company
- Ensure that all objectives and operational plans within own area of responsibility link with the strategy, vision and objectives of the organisation
- Comply with and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Motivate and support people within own area to achieve their work and development objectives and provide recognition when they are successful
- Create and maintain a culture within your area that encourages and recognises improved performance, cost savings and increased revenue

Requirements
The successful applicant will have previous electronic experience to component level. Technically proficient - able to carry out component level fault diagnosis of industrial equipment. Be able to use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons etc. Be able to read and understand circuit/wiring diagrams. Have functional test experience. PC Literate - basic level of skill required. High level of professionalism. Willingness to embrace feedback, learn from results and take responsibility for personal development to acquire new skills and share knowledge. Self motivated and results orientated. Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
