Role Overview: We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part‐time contract role focuses on enhancing the AI model's capabilities in academic and educational contexts. You will leverage your research skills and subject‐matter expertise to design prompts and refine responses that require a scholarly tone, accurate citation, and pedagogical clarity, ensuring the AI can effectively assist students and researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create challenging prompts that mimic academic queries, such as summarizing research papers, explaining complex theories, or assisting with thesis structuring.
  • Write high‐quality, evidence‐based responses to serve as "gold standard" examples, ensuring appropriate use of academic tone and vocabulary.
  • Review and edit AI‐generated content for factual accuracy, logical flow, and adherence to various citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
  • Evaluate the model's ability to adapt to different educational levels, distinguishing between explanations suitable for a high‐school student versus a PhD candidate.
  • Identify and correct instances of "hallucination" where the AI invents sources or misinterprets data.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in academia, research, or higher education (experience as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or Researcher is highly valued).
  • Strong familiarity with academic writing standards, peer-review processes, and major citation formats.
  • Ability to research complex topics quickly and synthesize information from multiple sources into coherent, original text.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in grammar, formatting, and the verification of facts and figures.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
  • Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.

Equal Opportunity Employer: We're committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and celebrate diversity in our workforce.
