Reface NE transforms kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms across the North East. We work from our showroom with our own installation teams and trusted trade partners, and we deliver jobs accurately and first time.
THE ROLE
As our Kitchen Surveyor, you are the person who walks into the customer's home, understands exactly what they want, and leaves with a job that is sold, measured and specified right first time.
This is not a sales job with a tape measure, and it is not a measuring job with no targets. It is both, and you are measured on both.
Partnership. To the customer, you are a genuine partner in their project. Behind that, your focus is sales: growing the value of every job through upgrades, other rooms and full use of the customer's budget.
Survey. Your survey is what the materials order is built from. When the fitters arrive, every item, size and quantity is right, and nothing is left for them to discover on the day.
The office handles the paperwork and data entry, so your time as Kitchen Surveyor goes on customers and accuracy. No line management. You report to the CEO.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
•Carry out check measures and full surveys in customers' homes, working through our visit template in full every time
•Specify every item, measurement and quantity for the job
•Present upgrades on every visit and spot opportunities in other rooms
•Aim to close on the visit: job confirmed, installation date agreed, deposit taken
•Set the fitting time for every job
•Approve every quote, installation brief and materials order before the customer sees it
•Follow up every quote until the customer decides. No quote goes cold
•Hand every job over cleanly to our Installations Coordinator, who runs it through to completion
•Be the technical lead the rest of the team comes to
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Essential
•Experience as a kitchen surveyor, or surveying and measuring in joinery, home improvement or a similar trade
•A proven record of selling face to face, in customers' homes or a showroom, including upgrades and handling objections
•The technical knowledge to judge what can and cannot be fitted, and to spot third-party trades early
•Exceptional attention to detail
•Organised, reliable follow-up, and the discipline to keep records and a diary up to date
•Comfortable with a CRM, or able to learn quickly
•A full UK driving licence
Desirable
•Knowledge of kitchen refacing, joinery or kitchen installation
•Experience pricing jobs and setting fitting times
•Experience selling across more than one room or trade
WHAT WE OFFER
•£28,000 basic salary
•Performance-related bonus
•Company benefits
•Full training in our home visit standard, products, survey packs and CRM
•A growing business, and the chance to set the standard for the Kitchen Surveyor role
