We're looking for an experienced fundraiser to join a small team in a newly created Individual Giving Officer role. Working with an amazing management team, this role is the perfect bridging role to take you into a manager-level position. It provides a platform for you to develop individual giving and mid-level donor streams while having a wealth of knowledge and experience to utilise from your colleagues. The charity enjoys phenomenal local support, and following a highly successful winter appeal, have some exciting relationships to explore. This is a hugely exciting time to join an already successful fundraising team that has reached a point of growth and expansion.

Colchester, Essex with hybrid and flexible working
Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum plus benefits

Duties
- Manage the day-to-day development and execution of individual giving campaigns to generate repeat gifts and grow income.
- Maximise retention and long-term value of the supporter base through effective stewardship and data-driven engagement.
- Develop and implement innovative methods for acquiring new supporters and reactivating lapsed donors.
- Develop specific strategies and stewardship plans to cultivate relationships with mid-level donors and increase their giving over time.
- Develop effective welcome and thanking programs to enhance supporter experience.
- Support the growth of income from raffles and prize-led fundraising.
- Work closely with the marketing team, external agencies and freelancers to best effect.
Ideal candidates will have
- Experience of working on individual giving campaigns, regular giving / supporter engagement or donor acquisition / retention.
- Knowledge of fundraising campaign best practices with the ability to apply theory and experience to grow income.
- Knowledge of a range of direct marketing techniques associated ROI expectation.
- Knowledge of database marketing, the importance of ensuring data integrity and data protection laws incl. GDPR.
- Experience of working in a fundraising and/or direct marketing role with good knowledge of direct response across multiple channels.
