Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Site Operative
Location: Hixon, Staffordshire
Pay: £15.00 per hour during training, increasing to £15.60 per hour upon successful completion of training
Position: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts, rotating pattern of:
- 2 weeks on Days
- 2 weeks on Nights
Monday to Thursday, 4 days on, 3 days off
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading materials and products
- Moving stock throughout the site and production areas
- Supporting the recycling and processing operations
- Carrying out general site operative duties as required
- Conducting daily forklift and equipment checks
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
- Assisting with production activities when required
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Experience within recycling, manufacturing, production or heavy industry would be advantageous
