About the Role
We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Staffordshire. This is a permanent night shift opportunity offering excellent earning potential through shift premiums and overtime.
Salary & Benefits
- £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Night shift premium paid at 1.33x basic rate
- Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
- Up to 7 hours overtime available per week

Working Hours (Night Shift)
- Monday to Wednesday: 18:00 - 04:30 (10 hours @ 1.33x), 04:30 - 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)
- Thursday: 18:00 - 03:30 (9 hours @ 1.33x), 03:30 - 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Editing offsets and making minor program adjustments
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment
- Maintaining high quality and production standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner
- Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to work permanent night shifts
Desirable
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls
- Programming knowledge
- Background in precision engineering environments
