Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join a well-established transport operation based in Welshpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable Class 1 Driver seeking a permanent night driving role with consistent routes and the opportunity to gain additional Haz-Chem network training.

The Role

As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will be responsible for completing nightly trunking runs to and from the central hub, ensuring pallets are delivered and collected safely, efficiently, and on time.

Full training for the Haz-Chem network can be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete nightly trunk runs to and from the central hub.
  • Deliver and collect palletised freight safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
  • Ensure all transport paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and reliability.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, safe, and roadworthy.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
  • Current Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Professional and reliable approach to work.
  • Haz-Chem experience desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
