Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver to join a busy and growing transport operation based in Welshpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver who enjoys working independently and is comfortable spending nights away from home while delivering exceptional service to customers throughout the UK.

The Role

As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for operating curtain-sided vehicles on nationwide routes, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

The role involves regular nights out and occasional weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out nationwide Class 1 curtain-sided deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure all loads are secured safely and transported in line with regulations.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points.
  • Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and company policies.
  • Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Regular tramping throughout the week
  • Occasional weekends and Bank Holiday working as required

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
  • Current Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous curtain sider experience preferred.
  • Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
