We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Electrician to join our Estates & Facilities team, helping us keep our hospital running safely and efficiently. This is a vital role supporting patient care by ensuring our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards.

What You’ll Be Doing- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment
- Responding to urgent maintenance requests across wards, theatres, and clinical areas
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs quickly and safely
- Maintaining lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse call systems, and distribution boards
- Supporting electrical elements of medical equipment where required
- Ensuring all work complies with HTM guidelines, BS 7671, and statutory regulations
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and test results
- Assisting with installation work, refurbishments, and capital projects
- Participating in the on-call rota to provide emergency cover
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial, industrial, or healthcare settings
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 (Inspection & Testing)
- Experience working to HTM standards
- Knowledge of UPS systems, standby generators, BMS, and fire alarm networks
- A supportive, friendly Estates team
