We at Work Lyf Group are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Supply Chain Specialist to lead supply chain initiatives, oversee daily operations, and lead a small team. This role is responsible for optimising our clients end-to-end supply chain performance, driving supplier development, and managing critical contracts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver improvements in complex, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight
- Manage day-to-day supply chain activities including sourcing, procurement and vendor management.
- Ensure seamless coordination between cross-functional teams to meet operational KPIs (e.g., OTIF, quality, cost efficiency).
- Monitor and improve component availability, supplier performance and service levels.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 3 supply chain professionals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, establish clear goals, and support professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Project Management
- Lead and execute supply chain projects (e.g., system implementations, process redesign, new supplier onboarding, or cost saving initiatives).
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resources in coordination with stakeholders.
- Track project milestones, manage risks, and report status updates to senior leadership.
Supplier Development & Contract Management
- Develop strategic supplier relationships to improve quality, delivery, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, business reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms, pricing agreements, and service level expectations.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Utilise data analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and present actionable reports on key metrics, project progress, and strategic initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across supply chain.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to sourcing, transportation, or global events.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or project management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects using structured methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with data visualisation tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Preferred Certifications:
- CIPS or MCIPS
