The Role:
- Transporting patients safely using wheelchairs, beds, and trolleys
- Moving medical equipment, supplies, and hospital goods as required
- Managing post, deliveries, and waste collection/disposal including clinical waste
- Supporting hospital staff with additional duties when required
- Providing reassurance and excellent customer service to patients and visitors
- Ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and professionally
- Working within hospital health & safety and hygiene procedures
The Requirements:
- Previous care or healthcare experience is essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit, as the role involves extensive walking up to 20 miles per day and manual handling
- Comfortable dealing with challenging or upsetting situations
- Fully flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends
