We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for our client, a highly respected precision engineering manufacturer supplying sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, and industrial engineering. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their leadership team and help drive continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within a busy precision engineering environment. You will lead the Quality team, develop robust quality processes, and ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality team.
- Oversee QA/QC activities and ensure all components meet required standards.
- Maintain and develop ISO 9001 & AS9100 quality management systems.
- Conduct audits, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
- Analyse quality performance data to drive improvements.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Senior Leadership teams.
- Lead root-cause investigations and implement preventative measures.
- Manage customer quality concerns and support customer audits.
- Ensure all quality documentation and records remain accurate and compliant.
About You
Essential:
- Experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within precision engineering, machining, aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100 highly desirable).
- Confident leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in auditing, RCA, and continuous improvement tools (8D, FMEA, SPC).
- Able to work collaboratively with a proactive and hands-on approach.
Desirable:
- Experience with CMM inspection and metrology equipment.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, and customer-specific quality requirements.
