The Role
This is not a traditional sales role. As Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing revenue within an established customer base. The role is centred on building trusted relationships, understanding customer requirements and identifying opportunities to expand the range of products and services supplied. There is no cold calling or new‑business hunting. Success in this role comes from long‑term account development, collaboration and commercial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue within existing customer accounts
- Build and manage relationships with key customer accounts (top 50)
- Identify additional products or services customers are sourcing elsewhere
- Support and follow up on quotation and pricing activity
- Visit customers as required to strengthen relationships and understand needs
- Work closely with engineering, production and internal support teams
- Maintain structured account plans and track opportunities effectively
About You
You will have experience in a manufacturing, engineering or technically‑focused environment and enjoy working closely with customers over the long term. You will typically:
- Have experience in account management or customer development
- Communicate confidently with engineers, buyers and technical stakeholders
- Understand technical products (e.g. cable assemblies, electronics, mechanical or engineered components)
- Be commercially aware and able to spot growth opportunities
- Be organised, structured and process‑driven
- Prefer relationship‑building over aggressive or transactional sales

- Cable assembly or wiring harness manufacturing
- EMS / PCB assembly
- Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers
- Engineering subcontract manufacturing
- Technical or industrial distribution
