Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver to join a busy and growing transport operation based in Welshpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver who enjoys working independently and is comfortable spending nights away from home while delivering exceptional service to customers throughout the UK.
The Role
As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for operating curtain-sided vehicles on nationwide routes, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time. The role involves regular nights out and occasional weekend and Bank Holiday working.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out nationwide Class 1 curtain-sided deliveries and collections.
- Ensure all loads are secured safely and transported in line with regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points.
- Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and company policies.
- Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy.
