This role is ideal for someone with a strong care background who is compassionate, reliable, and able to work efficiently under pressure while supporting patients and hospital teams throughout the day.

The Role:

  • Transporting patients safely using wheelchairs, beds, and trolleys
  • Moving medical equipment, supplies, and hospital goods as required
  • Managing post, deliveries, and waste collection/disposal including clinical waste
  • Supporting hospital staff with additional duties when required
  • Providing reassurance and excellent customer service to patients and visitors
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and professionally
  • Working within hospital health & safety and hygiene procedures

The Requirements:

  • Previous care or healthcare experience is essential
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit, as the role involves extensive walking and manual handling
  • Comfortable dealing with challenging or upsetting situations
  • Fully flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends

Hours: Full Time | Various shift patterns including: 6am - 14.00, 4 on 4 off; 8am - 16.00, 5 days over 7; 8am - 8pm, 4 days on 4 days off.
