We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our well-established, family-run client who operate a large and varied fleet. They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled HGV Technician to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Carry out routine safety inspections on HGVs
- Complete pre-MOT preparation and rectify defects
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs
- Work flexibly and remain calm under pressure, including occasional overtime during busy periods
- Undertake welding and fabrication tasks (desirable but not essential)
- Maintain compliance with DVSA standards and company maintenance procedures
- Keep the workshop and work areas clean, tidy, and safe
- C+E licence preferred but not essential
- Welding/fabrication experience beneficial but not required
