We at Work Lyf group are recruiting for a Wagon Fleet Manager in the rail industry. RAIL EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL. This would be for our well-established client based in the Doncaster area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team, ensuring delivery of maintenance in accordance with respective plans and schemes of work. This role fulfils the responsibilities and requirements of the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM), specifically Fleet Maintenance Management (ECM3).
Principal Accountabilities:- Ensure wagon compliance with regards to maintenance management in accordance with ECM regulations.
- Line management responsibility for the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team and their continued professional development, ensuring adequate coaching, mentoring and training is provided.
- Lead on the management of maintenance activity, collaborating with all relevant stakeholders across the business to ensure plans are clearly communicated and executed.
- Maintain the provision of wagons to the requirements of the business, identifying efficiencies where possible.
- Responsible for the management of wagon maintenance activity, aligning capacity, resources, and material availability to provide the most efficient delivery of maintenance in accordance with defined plans and schemes of work.
- Ensure vehicles are presented to relevant maintenance locations in line with defined maintenance plans and schemes of work.
- Responsible for the Wagon Fleet Maintenance budget, working with the finance team and respective stakeholders to control expenditure.
- Collaborate with the wider Asset Management & Maintenance (AM&M) function and business to ensure that depot workloads are managed to plan and that the plans are executed on time and in full.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company policies and procedures, including asset details, defect reporting, warranty information etc.
- Lead and support continual improvement strategies with respect to fleet maintenance management, including development of the company Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Minimum of five years experience working within an engineering environment.
- Demonstrable maintenance management experience, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring complex fleets/assets.
- Technical knowledge relating to railway-based traction and rolling stock or similar industries.
- Established general management skills, including financial and safety management.
- Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems, e.g. Maximo, SAP etc.
- Experienced in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Competent with Microsoft suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI etc.
- Strong communicator, confident in presenting to all levels of the organisation.
- BEng or equivalent in a STEM discipline or time served experience in the relevant discipline.
- Personal track safety certificate (including AC & DC electrified lines).
- Driving Licence.
