This apprenticeship role provides hands-on training in bricklaying, working under the guidance of experienced tradespeople while working toward a Level 2 qualification. The position offers practical site experience, structured learning, and the opportunity to develop foundational skills for a long-term career in the construction industry.
Duties:
- Learn to read and interpret drawings and specifications for brickwork and blockwork.
- Set out and prepare work areas in line with site plans and levels.
- Lay bricks, blocks, and masonry units to required lines, levels, and specifications.
- Mix and use mortar safely and correctly.
- Use and maintain hand tools and equipment appropriately.
- Assist with simple scaffolding and access equipment when needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clean and safe.
- Attend scheduled training at the academy and complete all coursework and assessments.
- Participate in apprentice reviews to monitor progress.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies, including correct PPE use.
- Work collaboratively with the site team and other trades.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to meet the physical demands of the trade.
- Reliable and safety-conscious attitude.

- Must live in one of the following boroughs: Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Hammersmith & Fulham.
- Maths & English Level 1 (Functional Skills if applicable).
- CSCS Card.

- Apprenticeship Level: Level 2 Bricklaying.
- Location: Wembley, HA9 7DU.
- Number of positions available: 3.
- Salary: London Living Wage.
- Contract: Minimum 6 months.
- Working hours: Under 18: 8:00–16:00; 18+: 8:00–16:30.
- Training schedule (academy): Monday–Friday, 8:30–16:30.
- Evenings, weekends, and nights: Not required.
