Exciting opportunity as Chair of Trustees of a small, award‑winning and growing charity in the circular economy for arts and crafts. Based in SW London we are looking for someone to maintain or accelerate the charity's momentum.
What difference will you make? The Chair will shape the charity's work, strategic direction and help achieve the mission to promote artful re‑use of waste materials diverted from landfill and incineration for use with a wide range of beneficiaries (over 1,300 organisations and individuals). These end‑users span educational and community groups and individuals for artistic, educational, recreational or therapeutic benefit throughout South London. It is a vital role, especially with sustainability at the top of the corporate agenda. The Chair's leadership will ensure that the charity provides and extends its range of support and services to existing and future beneficiaries.
The Chair will lead a team of ~50 zealous volunteers to continue and enhance the charity's work, providing over £325k of value for our members.
What are we looking for?

What will you be doing? The Chair will join an established board of six trustees and must be experienced in leading a board in terms of strategy, risk and planning, key policies and processes, financial governance, building positive relationships, conflict management, one‑to‑one reviews with trustees to bring out the best in them, building the board and growing the charity's impact.
