Wordsmith is building the legal operations platform for in‑house teams, and we are growing fast. We believe in‑house legal is becoming one of the most important functions in the AI era. Every business is moving faster, but legal work is still too often scattered across inboxes, chats, documents, and disconnected systems. Wordsmith brings that work into one system. Requests come in from across the business, AI agents handle the routine, lawyers stay in control where judgment matters, and every step is captured as work happens. We are built for in‑house legal, not law firms. Our goal is to help legal teams move faster, reduce unnecessary external counsel spend, and become a function the business can run with. More than 500 companies, including Financial Times, Safelite, Trip.com, Canva, Starling, and Sage, use Wordsmith. Backed by $100M from Index Ventures, General Catalyst, Highland Europe, and others, we are building one of the defining companies in legal AI.
The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, data‑driven operator to lead growth at Wordsmith. This is a high‑leverage role that combines strategy, execution, and storytelling. Your mission: scale our demand generation engine while maintaining our premium brand positioning. You’ll own strategy and execution across LinkedIn advocacy, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), paid campaigns, and community engagement. You’ll turn experiments into repeatable playbooks, and play a critical role in shaping Wordsmith as the category leader in Legal Enablement Platforms. This is a high‑trust role with serious headroom. We’re not looking for someone to run playbooks – we’re looking for someone to help write them.
What You’ll Do
- Lead demand generation across LinkedIn, AEO, paid campaigns, and forums
- Scale team advocacy programmes to drive reach and engagement
- Dominate generative answer engines for “in‑house legal AI” queries
- Run global paid campaigns and retargeting with clear pipeline goals
- Build community presence in Reddit and professional forums
- Partner with Product Marketing and Content to align narrative and messaging
- Turn insights into scalable growth playbooks
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in B2B SaaS growth or demand generation
- Experience in startups or scale‑ups (Series A–D)
- Strong background in paid campaigns (Google, LinkedIn, retargeting)
- Proven track record with LinkedIn advocacy and community engagement
- Comfortable with attribution, funnel analytics, and pipeline measurement
- Strategic thinker with a creative streak – narrative and numbers both matter
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with AEO/GEO (Answer or Generative Engine Optimisation)
- Legal tech or professional services marketing experience
- Reddit or forum marketing chops
- Scaling international campaigns
What You Can Expect
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity upside
- Comprehensive benefits and flexible working
- A high‑autonomy role with direct access to the CEO and leadership team
- The chance to shape positioning and growth strategy in a new category
- A premium brand with global ambitions and serious tailwinds
- Progression based on results, not seniority
- A smart, ambitious team who move fast and back each other
If you’re looking for more than just a job – a place to learn, grow, and have a real impact from day one – this could be the one. We’re building something category‑defining, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of the journey. If that sounds like you, hit apply.
