About Words of Peace Global (WOPG)
Words of Peace Global (WOPG) is an international not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the global dissemination of Prem Rawat’s message of peace through live events, digital broadcasts and educational initiatives. Operating across multiple countries and collaborating with numerous entities, WOPG facilitates global event planning, sponsorship initiatives and administrative coordination required to support public programmes, events and outreach activities. The organisation works in collaboration with local partner organisations, volunteer teams and contracted service providers to deliver mission-aligned programmes in a reliable, dignified and compliant manner.
The Role
This is a senior global leadership role at the heart of WOPG’s mission delivery. The CFOO is responsible for ensuring that the financial, operational, and governance foundations of the organisation are strong, trusted, and capable of supporting an expanding global programme of events and initiatives. This is not a purely financial role. It is about building and maintaining systems that enable often complex international programmes to be delivered with clarity, accountability, and reliability. You will work closely with the Board, global event teams, sponsorship teams, and partner organisations to ensure that resources are used effectively and that operations run smoothly across multiple jurisdictions. The working experience with non-profit/NGO is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of global financial management across multiple entities
- Ensure robust, transparent, and compliant financial reporting
- Support Board-level decision-making with clear financial insight
- Lead statutory reporting and financial governance frameworks together with audits where required
- Oversee global budgeting and funding allocation across events and other initiatives
- Ensure alignment between donor income and campaigns and overall expenditure
- Support financial planning and grant funding for major international events and initiatives
Operational Enablement
- Ensure that systems, processes, and administrative structures support effective programme delivery
- Oversee contractor engagement and operational coordination where finance and administration intersect
- Exercise sound judgement in relation to legal, regulatory and fiscal issues in relation to charitable, not-for-profit and commercial entities
- Help teams operate efficiently without unnecessary complexity
Treasury & Financial Control
- Oversee cash flow, payments, and financial controls across global operations
- Maintain relationships with banking and payment providers, including compliance with regulatory frameworks including AML, PCI-DSS, PSD2 and GDPR where relevant.
- Ensure appropriate financial discipline while enabling timely programme delivery
Systems & Infrastructure
- Ensure financial and donor systems are reliable, integrated, and fit for purpose
- Oversee reconciliation between donation platforms and financial reporting
- Support ongoing improvement of systems as the organisation grows
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is not just accurate reporting. It is reflected in:
- Confidence from the Board and stakeholders in your financial stewardship and governance
- Clarity and reliability in financial and operational processes
- Alignment between funding, intent, and delivery
- Smooth execution of events and initiatives globally without financial or administrative friction
- A system that enables, rather than constrains, the organisation’s mission
Profile
We are looking for someone who combines:
- Senior financial leadership experience in a multi-entity, international environment
- The ability to balance rigour with pragmatism
- Strong judgement in balancing multi-stakeholder, PR sensitive, regulatory demanding and mission-driven objectives
- Experience with multi-entity structures, donor funding, or programme-based organisations
- Above all, someone who is motivated by supporting work that contributes to clarity, dignity, and peace.
Why This Role Matters
WOPG operates at scale, across borders, and often in complex environments with tight timelines. This role ensures that the foundation is strong enough to support that ambition.
