About the Role
You’ll provide high quality specialist speech and language therapy services across up to 5 education settings. These settings may include Mainstream Primary and Secondary Schools and/or Specialist Schools in the clinical areas of Autism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Learning Disability, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and other Complex Needs. You will manage a caseload in your schools, using evidence-based, person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young people who present with a range of communication and literacy difficulties. You’ll work closely with school staff and colleagues to provide support at universal, targeted, and specialist levels.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years’ experience as a paediatric SaLT, ideally in school settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathetic, adaptable, and a true team player
- Strong report writing and time management skills
- Eager to grow and develop a clinical specialism
- HCPC-registered (or in the process of registering)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy
- Willing to undergo (or already hold) an enhanced DBS check (funded by Words First)
