We are currently seeking experienced freelance translators who are passionate about delivering high‐quality language services that have a real and positive impact on people's lives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing accurate, culturally appropriate written translations for a wide range of organisations, with a strong focus on the Health and Social Care sectors.
- Your work may include documents for the NHS, local authorities, charities, and private sector clients, helping individuals access vital services and information.
- Playing an essential role in removing language barriers and ensuring equal access to services.
- Translating written content accurately and fluently from the source language into your native language.
- Preserving the original tone, intent, and meaning while ensuring cultural and contextual relevance.
- Collaborating with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver high‐quality work.
- Following industry standards, confidentiality requirements, and best practices at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of professional translation experience or a relevant translation degree from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience translating medical and/or legal content.
- Proficiency with CAT tools and translation management systems.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
- Native‐level fluency in the target language.
- Based in the UK or EU.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (or European equivalent), or willingness to obtain one.
