About The Role
Reports to: General Manager.
We are looking for a Translation Project Manager to manage multiple projects, prioritise a busy workload, and deliver high‑quality translations on time and within budget.
Word360 is the largest language services company in the Midlands, delivering services in more than 450 languages and dialects through a national and global network of linguists.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing a range of new projects from initial enquiry to delivery
- Providing project costs and lead times
- Planning workflows and delivering on time and within budget
- Building translation memory for each project
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and linguists
- Coordinating translator and workflow schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Providing clients with project status updates
- Driving use of machine‑translation systems to maximise efficiencies
- Ensuring translators perform according to agreed service‑level agreements regarding time, quality and budget
- Implementing and maintaining a thorough QA process to ensure translations are accurate, consistent and meet client specifications
Skills and Attributes Required
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in project management
- Ability to estimate costs and manage to budget
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently to achieve results
- Experience managing multiple, complex and remote projects simultaneously
- Positive, professional, and flexible personality
- Creative thinker who can bring new ideas to the table
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
The Ideal Candidate will
- Have experience working within a language translation environment
- Have experience working with TMS, Trados, MemoQ, SmartCAT, HubSpot
- Have worked in a complex, fast‑paced organisation
- Have excellent planning and organising skills
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Be adaptive, flexible and comfortable working at pace
- Possess an attention to detail
- Build and maintain professional relationships
- Hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Work as a team player while also taking initiative to meet deadlines
- Be familiar with translation management systems, translation memory and terminology management
- Be a tenacious learner and stay updated with technical knowledge
