We are currently seeking skilled, passionate, and reliable interpreters to provide remote support for individuals with limited English proficiency. As a remote interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors. Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses. You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need.

Languages in Demand: Afrikaans, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Azeri, Bantu, Burmese, Creole, Croatian, Dhaka, Dinka, Edo, Fanti, Faroese, Fula, Georgian, Greek, Hakka, Hausa, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Khmer (Cambodian), Kurdish, Konkani, Korean, Lingala, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malayalam, Moldavian, Nuer, Oromo, Polish, Serbian, Shona, Sinhala, Slovak, Slovenian, Soninke, Swahili, Tagalog, Tajik, Telegu, Tetum, Tibetan, Tigre, Tigrigna, Uzbek, Vietnamese, Wollof, Wolof. We also welcome British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters – both Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI) and Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI) are encouraged to apply.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and an additional language
  • Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments
  • Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach
  • Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings)
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists). If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application
  • Eligibility for self-employment in the UK

Please note: This is a self-employed position, and you’ll be responsible for your own tax registration with HMRC.
