We are currently seeking skilled, passionate, and reliable interpreters to provide face‑to‑face BSL support for individuals with limited hearing abilities. As a face‑to‑face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors. Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses. You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring every person has access to the services and support they need.
What we're looking for:
- Both Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI) and Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI) are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and British Sign Language.
- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments.
- Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach.
- Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community‑based settings).
- NRCPD Card.
- Eligibility for self‑employment in the UK.
This is a self‑employed position, and you’ll be responsible for your own tax registration with HMRC.
