Hyundai Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice – Worcester

MARSHALL MOTOR GROUP LIMITED is seeking a Light Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join their dealership in Worcestershire (WR2 5HP).

The apprentice will work within a fast-paced, challenging environment and have the opportunity to work within an international business environment and grow with the company.

The apprenticeship details are as follows:

  • Wage: £15,704 for the first year, with potential increases depending on age
  • Training course: Motor vehicle service and maintenance technician – light vehicle (level 3)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch (40 hours a week)
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Start date: Thursday, 30 October 2025

Work

Most of the apprenticeship is spent working, with hands-on experience and training alongside qualified technicians.

What you\’ll do at work

Duties will include:

  • Working alongside qualified Technicians with the investigation, repair, and service of vehicles
  • Carrying out diagnostics
  • Warranty work
  • Assisting with MOT’s on vehicles
  • Other general technical duties and general housekeeping
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Training

The apprenticeship includes time away from work for specialist training at Nottingham College, leading to a Level 3 qualification as a Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle).

  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop
  • Demonstrate due regard for own safety and that of others in the workshop
  • Carry out fundamental tasks associated with removal and replacement procedures on a vehicle
  • Obtain diagnostic and repair information
  • Interpret diagnostic information and use electrical wiring diagrams
  • Use a range of diagnostic equipment
  • Follow recognised diagnostic procedures and apply advanced diagnostic principles and problem-solving techniques

Requirements

GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4) is required. Other relevant qualifications and industry experience will be taken into account.
