Purpose of the Role: To support the delivery of high-quality food and hospitality services during match days, conferences, and events at Worcestershire County Cricket Club by assisting the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and helping to ensure an efficient and professional catering operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of food for match day hospitality, conferences and events.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety at all times.
- Supporting senior chefs during busy service periods and ensuring food is delivered promptly.
- Preparing ingredients, plating dishes and assisting with buffet and banqueting service.
- Ensuring stock is rotated correctly and stored in line with food safety regulations.
- Washing up and keeping kitchen workstations clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Working flexibly as part of a fast-paced kitchen team during cricket matches and large-scale events.

Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and match days.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and support senior kitchen staff effectively.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- You will need to hold a Level 2 food hygiene certificate.
- You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in hospitality, banqueting or event catering.
