We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista to join our team on a casual‑hours basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer‑facing environment, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and can work flexibly around the needs of the business. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, supporting food service where required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and creating a welcoming experience for customers, guests and visitors.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks to a high standard
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take orders, handle payments and operate the till system
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café, barista station and customer areas
  • Restock products, supplies and consumables as needed
  • Support with food service, clearing tables and general front‑of‑house duties
  • Follow food safety, health and safety, and allergen procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods, events and day‑to‑day service
  • Represent the organisation positively at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a café, hospitality or customer service role is essential
  • Barista experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • Right to work in the UK or be able to obtain by the start date. Visa sponsorship is not offered
