The supervised family time service is a crucial part of the Children's Social Work Service in Worcestershire. This service enables the local authority to fulfil its duties and responsibilities to promote contact for children with their birth family and friends. For some children, the provision of a supervising facilitator is essential to ensure that time with family and friends is a safe and positive experience.
We want to build capacity and flexibility to the current good practice of our supervising family time service which will enable us to extend support to children who require this service. We also want to bring more flexibility in our service in order to meet the needs of children and young people, their carers and their families.
