Learning Services Worcestershire is expanding its Young Adult Learning provision in Worcester and Redditch and is recruiting enthusiastic sessional staff to deliver maths and English teaching.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging maths or English sessions (GCSE and/or Functional Skills)
- Support learners to build confidence and make progress toward qualifications
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of individual needs
- Work with colleagues and support staff to ensure learners are well supported
- Maintain learner records and provide feedback on progress
- Embed safeguarding, equality and inclusion within your teaching
- Contribute to shared resources and development of delivery (if tutor/senior tutor)
- Passionate about teaching maths or English in an inclusive setting
- Skilled at building positive relationships with young people
- Patient, adaptable, and motivated by learner progress
- Experienced in supporting or delivering post‑16 learning
- Assistant Tutors – £13.26 per hour: Support learning, build confidence, and help learners engage with maths or English. Ideal for those starting a teaching career or with experience supporting young people.
- Tutors – £14.82 per hour: Plan and deliver high-quality maths or English sessions, supporting learners to achieve Functional Skills and/or GCSE qualifications.
