Excellent opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic person to join our horticulture team and follow a career in commercial ornamental plant production. The Bransford Webbs Plant Company, situated between Worcester and Malvern, is one of the UK’s leading nurseries supplying approx 2 million plants per year to Garden Centres.

We pay apprentices the NLW regardless of their age currently £12.71 per hour. Any overtime worked is paid at 1½ times this rate. Apprentices are enrolled onto our company bonus scheme which is profit related and paid annually.

Training course: Crop technician (level 3)

Hours:

  • Autumn/Winter: 8:00–4:30 Monday–Thursday, 8:00–3:30 Friday
  • Spring/Summer: 7:00–3:30 Monday–Thursday; 7:00–2:30 Friday – 39 hours a week

Start Date: Monday 5 October 2026

Duration: 2 years

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Propagation, including seed sowing, taking cuttings, and division
  • Potting (Machine)
  • Feeding
