Key Relationships:
Patients, carers, clinical and non-clinical staff, and other professional organizations.
Job Purpose:
Provides unsupervised specialist Neurodiagnostic investigations to patients of all ages with neurological or psychiatric disorders, attending the department and across non-dedicated environments for Worcestershire Hospitals, surrounding community trusts, and GPs.
Main Duties:
- Monitor and maintain high standards of Neurophysiological services, initiating remedial actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with professionals and agencies to meet healthcare needs.
- Lead and support junior staff, participate in training, and manage administrative duties.
- Plan, report, and interpret a range of neurophysiological investigations.
- Perform EEG investigations, nerve conduction studies, EMG, evoked potentials, and other modalities across all age groups.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensure safety and compliance, and provide emergency services as needed.
- Contribute to education, training, clinical governance, and audit processes.
- Participate in research, development, and service improvement projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant neurophysiology qualifications and experience in performing a variety of neurophysiological investigations.
