Worcester Students' Union is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Student Groups Coordinator to lead the development and support of our student-led communities. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside passionate student leaders, helping them create vibrant, inclusive and engaging opportunities that enhance the student experience beyond the classroom.
About the role
As Student Groups Coordinator, you'll support and develop our student-led sports teams, societies and Networks, empowering committees to deliver outstanding activities while ensuring they have the knowledge, confidence and resources to succeed. You'll work with elected Officers, University colleagues and student volunteers to grow participation, strengthen student leadership and create a sense of belonging for students from every background. Whether you're supporting a brand-new society, helping organise Welcome events, delivering leadership training or celebrating student achievements, you'll play a vital role in shaping campus life.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about student communities, volunteering and leadership development, enjoys supporting others to develop their confidence and leadership potential and can confidently build relationships with students, staff and external partners. Experience within Higher Education or Students' Unions would be advantageous, but we also welcome applicants with transferable experience from the charity, voluntary, sport, youth or community sectors.
