Assist with the design, installation, and support of campus Audio Visual (AV) equipment and infrastructure critical to course delivery, project collaborations, and campus events.
Under direction of team lead, purchase, configure, and install AV equipment, systems, and solutions targeted for permanent or temporary use according to campus requirements. Perform testing and troubleshooting, diagnose problems, and contact vendor for assistance as needed. Participate in planning budget targets and managing installations to meet budget allocations. Respond to customer problems and provide immediate service and support to faculty, students, and staff. Use Service Desk ticketing system to process AV related requests and incidents. Perform preventative maintenance and refresh hardware as standards change and budgets allow. Assist with the administration, configuration, training, and overall coordination of digital signage systems on campus as assigned by supervisor. Provide training and assistance to ATC staff as needed to ensure quality integrated solutions are available for smooth classroom function. Collaborate with other ATC staff in planning and delivery of high-profile events such as commencement. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- A bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in AV system design, integration, installation, and support may also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Strong understanding of audiovisual systems, signal flow, networking concepts, control systems, and emerging AV technologies used in higher education environments
Salary Grade 6: $55,400 – $68,500 per year (depending on experience). Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
