KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- The advanced apprenticeship provides hands-on experience, allowing you to shadow seasoned engineers directly within a dynamic production environment.
- The specification, procurement and implementation of product test equipment, namely leak test machines, electrical safety test machines, transducer torque equipment and vision systems.
- The specification, procurement and implementation of PCs, PLCs, HMIs, to host production assembly station control software which is a component of the manufacturing execution system.
- Configure and maintain the several versions of station control software.
- Configure and maintain the server-based software and databases that receive and store the data from the assembly station control software.
- Create and maintain user instructions and technical documentation for test equipment and station control software and hardware.
- Provide critical support and immediate problem solving to technical malfunctions on the assembly lines to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with local manufacturing support teams and the international production network.
- Support on time delivery of new products within the Manufacturing environment whilst collaborating with Design & Development to establish robust, efficient and sustainable processes.
- Setting up new and maintaining existing processes for a reliable, capable production.
- Ensure safe working methods and environment.
- Project planning.
- Team member in cross functional team that formulates the justification of purchasing capital equipment, tooling required for implementing new processes.
- Manage design, manufacture and commissioning of assembly equipment to hand over to production.
- Setup and maintain process documentation such as control plans and TPMs.
- Perform capability studies for machines and processes.
- Generate and implement new working methods to continuously increase manufacturing productivity.
- Proactively support design of new parts by supplying technical expertise of tooling and machine/process capabilities.
- Support implementation of BPS principles on shop floor.
- Contact person for Quality Process audits.
- TPM representative.
- SPC assessments using the state of art tools.
- Other duties as they arise in the efficient maintenance of the systems within the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
- Act responsibly and pro-actively to ensure Safe and Environmentally friendly processes and workspaces according to Health and Safety regulations and internal Environmental Protection policies.
- Support Continuous Improvement Process via periodical shop-floor based workshops with good associate empowerment (Point CIP) for quality, cost and delivery performances.
Qualifications:
- A degree in mechanical, production, electrical engineering or closely related discipline.
- Preferable to have had experience in a manufacturing environment.
