A very exciting and rare opportunity with the Woozelbears, Melksham team has arisen for the right candidate! Woozelbears in Melksham is an extremely busy rehabilitation centre in the heart of Wiltshire. A friendly, supportive and welcoming team dedicated to exceptional standards with real drive and passion for our industry as well as clients and patients. The centre and team are registered with IRVAP (ICH), meaning current association membership would be advantageous.
We are seeking a QUALIFIED Small Animal Hydrotherapist (should hold as a minimum L3 Cert in Small Animal Hydrotherapy with Treadmill module but the L3 Dip in Small Animal Hydrotherapy is preferred. Candidates who have finished their courses and are expecting their certificates could also be considered) to work within our very busy centre. The ideal candidate would have a minimum 1 year clinical experience working with both a pool and underwater treadmill. They must be competent working alone and within a team with a wide range of breeds, temperaments and conditions.
With a focus on canine centred approaches, our team have an exceptionally high standard of both client and patient care, meaning compassion, excellent communication skills, effective time management, attention to detail and customer service should be personal attributes.
The role entails but is not limited to:
- Providing effective and dynamic hydrotherapy treatments to Small Animals (predominately dogs but confidence with cats is a bonus)
- Bathing and drying patients post session
- Assessing new clients
- Program planning
- Writing and sending vet reports
- Taking payments, bookings and handling client communications
- Maintaining a clean and tidy clinical environment
This position is 30-40hrs per week including evenings and weekends. Salary is dependent on experience. This role comes with the potential to progress into centre/clinical management for the right individual.
