We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic catering assistant to help support in our kitchen within our small, rural primary school. The successful candidate will work as directed by the catering manager to support the meals provision. This position will include food preparation, dining room preparation/clearing, serving, post meal cleaning up and other general kitchen duties. 10 hours per week (11.15-13.15 daily during term time).
The successful applicant will:
- Have suitable experience of working within a commercial kitchen (or be willing to receive training)
- Have the ability to work effectively with the catering manager
- Have a good attention to kitchen hygiene and pupil/staff allergies
- Have good communication skills
- Be flexible and reliable
- Have energy, enthusiasm and drive
