Following a period of significant growth, they are now looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of a skilled and motivated Audio Visual Engineer. As an AV Engineer, you will take ownership of the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of AV systems across a variety of client sites. You will be a trusted technical point of contact, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role that blends technical depth with strong client communication — ideal for someone who thrives in a varied, field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment including projectors, interactive displays, video conferencing systems, and audio solutions.
- Carry out site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing both on-site and remote support.
- Liaise directly with clients to ensure systems are installed, commissioned, and operating correctly.
- Collaborate with internal sales and support teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end project delivery.
- Stay current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practice.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations during installations and service work.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in AV installation, maintenance, and technical support.
- Strong working knowledge of AV systems — including video conferencing, digital signage, projection, and audio distribution.
- Hands-on experience with leading AV brands, specifically Biamp, Yealink, Lenovo, and Logitech.
- Confident troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across complex systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent industry certification.
- Electrical or networking qualifications.
- Experience in programming AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).
