Junior AV Engineer will provide onsite technical support for audio visual and collaboration systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support. The role requires a customer-focused, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite AV and video conferencing support, including walk-up assistance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve AV system faults
- Support video conferencing and Microsoft Teams Room systems
- Perform low to medium risk maintenance tasks in line with health and safety guidelines
- Assist with installation, cabling, and peripheral changes
- Escalate complex or high-risk issues to senior engineers or resolver groups
- Support events, town halls, and webcast meetings as required
- Maintain and update technical documentation and asset records
- Coordinate room downtime and liaise with stakeholders as needed
- Manage basic stock control and goods receipt
- Work closely with vendors or third parties to restore services
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professional communication
Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in an AV Engineer or AV Technician role (preferred)
- Practical knowledge of AV and video conferencing systems
- Basic understanding of network architecture and IT systems
- Experience using AV tools and test equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings or schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- CTS certification achieved or working towards
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and upskill
Work Location & Hours
- Primary work location is onsite at customer premises in Central London
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required
- Occasional travel for site work, training, or team meetings
