Junior AV Engineer will provide onsite technical support for audio visual and collaboration systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support. The role requires a customer-focused, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite AV and video conferencing support, including walk-up assistance
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve AV system faults
  • Support video conferencing and Microsoft Teams Room systems
  • Perform low to medium risk maintenance tasks in line with health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with installation, cabling, and peripheral changes
  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues to senior engineers or resolver groups
  • Support events, town halls, and webcast meetings as required
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and asset records
  • Coordinate room downtime and liaise with stakeholders as needed
  • Manage basic stock control and goods receipt
  • Work closely with vendors or third parties to restore services
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professional communication

Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years’ experience in an AV Engineer or AV Technician role (preferred)
  • Practical knowledge of AV and video conferencing systems
  • Basic understanding of network architecture and IT systems
  • Experience using AV tools and test equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings or schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • CTS certification achieved or working towards
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and upskill

Work Location & Hours

  • Primary work location is onsite at customer premises in Central London
  • 40 hours per week
  • Occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required
  • Occasional travel for site work, training, or team meetings
