About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

We’re looking for a Qualified Butcher to join our Woolworths New Zealand team. We’re proud of the diversity of our team and the roles they play in running our store - this role is great for anyone who enjoys a hands-on job with plenty of variety each day.

Skills

  • Showcase your impressive knife skills and knowledge of meat.
  • Cutting, trimming and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery.
  • Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs.
  • Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department.
  • Sharing your knowledge by training and developing other team members.
  • Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors.

About You | Mōu

  • Hold a NZ Certificate in Trade Butchery.
  • Have a willingness to start early and work on your feet for most of your shift.
  • Be a strong communicator and effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Regularly lifting up to 15kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements.
