About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Plus eCommerce Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis, covering a period of maternity leave for approximately 12 months. This is a genuine opportunity to step into an impactful, commercially critical role within a fast-growing brand from day one.
You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our global online store operations and site development. The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep hands-on Shopify Markets experience, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences, all aligned with Woolroom's brand identity and growth goals.
You will support and underpin the Global Growth & Marketing team by achieving and exceeding its Global eCommerce objectives, in our major markets of US, UK and Canada. You will be expected to visit our Charlotte, USA based office every quarter to work closely with our North American team.
This is a broad ranging position with significant impact, offering senior level exposure and genuine opportunities to make your mark during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Management & Innovation: Managing a small team, oversee the Shopify platform day-to-day, managing API integrations, apps, promo/discount engines, and any tools that keep the store running smoothly. Stay current with eCommerce trends and Shopify updates to continually evolve our approach.
- Strategy & Project Management: Drive the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns, site developments, and platform change-overs, keeping projects on track, stakeholders aligned, and executions on time. Set clear objectives across traffic, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, and ensure the team is set up to deliver against them.
- Customer Experience & CRO: Ensure the store delivers a seamless experience across all devices, leading UX, site design, checkout optimisation, and page speed. Use A/B testing, personalisation, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in conversion rates.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor KPIs, track performance trends, and use data to inform decisions. Utilise analytical tools to understand user behaviour and identify areas for improvement.
- Team, Compliance & Security: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep eCommerce aligned with wider business goals. Ensure compliance and maintain appropriate security measures to protect customer data.
- Team Leadership: You will be supported by a small team who deliver day-to-day execution across campaigns and content. You'll provide direction and guidance to ensure their work aligns with broader eCommerce objectives, while keeping their workload focused and manageable.

- Strong analytical skills and experience with eCommerce analytics tools
- Excellent project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
