About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Mathematics department. This is an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher seeking an excellent start to their teaching career or an experienced practitioner looking to develop further within a supportive and ambitious school.

Our school was inspected in 2025 and remains Good following a Section 8 Ofsted inspection. Outcomes are consistently above national averages, behaviour is excellent, and our community is supportive and ambitious for every student. New staff quickly become part of a welcoming and rewarding school where professional growth is valued and encouraged.

We are looking for a talented teacher with a genuine passion for Mathematics and a commitment to helping every student succeed. You will have high expectations, strong subject knowledge and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or an experienced teacher, you will share our high expectations for all students and our commitment to helping them achieve their best in Mathematics.

You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking department where colleagues work closely together to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, share resources and continually improve their practice. Support and professional development are central to our work, with a strong programme for Early Career Teachers alongside opportunities for experienced colleagues to develop their expertise and progress their careers.

The Mathematics department consists of 12 colleagues and benefits from very low staff turnover, a strong team culture and a genuine commitment to collaboration. Staff share ideas, expertise and high-quality resources freely, creating an environment in which both teachers and students thrive. In 2025-26, 78.6% of students achieved grades 9-4 in GCSE Mathematics, and 29.3% achieved grades 9-7, placing the department 6.8 and 7.0 percentage points above national averages respectively.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful department that combines high expectations with genuine support. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about Mathematics, committed to continuous improvement and eager to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.
