Responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences, delivering work set by the regular class teacher.
  • Maintaining a focused and supportive atmosphere to help students stay on task.
  • Responding to any immediate issues in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Collecting completed assignments and returning materials to the appropriate teacher.
  • Assisting as a Teaching Assistant when cover is not needed, supporting students across the curriculum.

We are particularly interested in candidates available across 5 days per week, but we’re happy to be flexible for the right person.

Qualifications:

  • Confident and proactive in supporting students' academic progress and personal development.
  • Strong presence in the classroom with solid behaviour management skills.
  • Brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a collaborative mindset to the team.
  • Committed to helping deliver a high-quality learning environment and holds a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
  • Experience working with young people is beneficial, though not essential – enthusiasm and commitment are valued.
