We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Administration Assistant to join our Access to Learning Faculty (ALF) team, supporting students with Special Educational Needs. This is a key administrative role providing support to the SENDCo and ALF leadership team. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the department, particularly in managing student records, annual reviews, communication with parents and external agencies, and maintaining accurate systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating administrative processes for EHCP annual reviews, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
  • Managing and maintaining student records on SIMS and other systems.
  • Producing high-quality documentation, reports and communications.
  • Liaising with parents, staff and external professionals.
  • Organising meetings, booking rooms and arranging logistics (including Teams meetings).
  • Supporting provision mapping and maintaining accurate intervention records.
  • Managing departmental communications, including email inboxes.

Qualifications

  • Has strong administrative experience and excellent organisational skills.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly (e.g. SIMS, Microsoft Forms, Teams).
  • Has excellent attention to detail and can manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Has strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Experience in a school or SEND environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
