Fowey Hall Hotel, located in the picturesque surroundings of Fowey, is seeking dedicated Kitchen Porters to contribute to the exceptional experience we provide.

Job Type: Casual Worker Agreement – Hours are offered to our casual workers in line with the demands of the business. Flexibility will be key, as shifts will vary and will include some weekends. The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour plus service charge.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all plates, crockery and cooking equipment is cleaned: overseeing the potwash area of the kitchen and ensuring that all crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is cleaned efficiently and correctly.
  • Ensuring your section is prepared and cleaned down: keeping your station clean and tidy throughout your shift and at the end of your shift ready for handover.
  • Ensuring your work area is safe and chemicals are used correctly: cleaning spillages and following proper safety procedures, particularly regarding the use of chemicals.

Qualifications:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2 is beneficial but not essential.
  • Charisma, engaging personality and passion for hospitality and providing great service to our guests.
  • Ability to keep calm and focused during a busy service and to keep your station clean and tidy throughout your shift.
