Linen Porter Housekeeping – Fowey Hall Hotel

Contract: Casual Worker

Salary: £12.71 per hour plus service charge

Position Overview

As a Linen Porter, you will deliver clean linen and collect all dirty linen from guest rooms and service areas, maintaining accurate stock levels. You will assess the quality of delivered linen, keep tidy and organised service areas, work closely with other departments to ensure seamless turnover of bedrooms, and interact with guests in a professional, friendly manner.

Job Type

Casual Worker Agreement – hours offered in line with business demands, with flexibility required for varying shifts and potential weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Collect linen and towels from guest rooms and public areas.
  • Inspect linens for stains, tears and other damages, and report issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Fold and stack clean linens and towels neatly, ready for distribution.
  • Deliver clean linens and towels to designated storage areas and replenish supplies in guest rooms and public areas as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and organisation of the linen room and laundry facilities.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure timely delivery and collection of linens based on guest needs.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
